Administrative Assistant

Purpose: Assist the City on a Hill staff pastors in executing administrative and operational tasks for the church

Office Management 

  • Make purchases as needed.
  • Pick up and make deliveries as needed.
  • Google Voice Monitoring a few hours a week.

Event Coordination

  • Events creation in Planning Center.
  • Coordinate building use.

Database Management

  • Audit Planning Center People database to keep member types up to date.
  • Manage Planning Center Workflows and Lists in support of the Connection Process.

Administrative Support

  • Contact or make calls to bank, bookkeeping, insurance companies, etc as needed.
  • Connect with the Lead Pastor to discuss weekly tasks.
  • Coordinate with Kids Director, Worship Director, and Set-up Coordinators to support in any additional tasks.
  • Attend and take notes at weekly staff meetings.
  • Manage Pastor and church calendar.
  • Other duties as coordinated with the Staff Pastors.

Visitor and Member Support

  • Craft and send the weekly church newsletter and Church Center as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Social Media Manager about posts that need to go up.
  • Birthdays/Anniversaries cards mailing.

Financial Support

  • Retrieve mail from church P.O. Box.
  • Take checks to the Treasurer for deposit.
  • Billing/reimbursement (Finch).

Time Investment: 10 hours per week

Compensation: $22/Hour

Commitment: Ongoing with an annual review
