 The Big Picture

Lake City Community Church (https://www.lc3.com/) is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor.

Who we are: Lake City Community Church (LC3) is an independent, non-denominational church located in Lakewood, WA that celebrated 100 years of faithful ministry in 2023. Over the last 5 years, we have more than doubled in size; our current average weekend service attendance is almost 1900 people across two campuses. As we have grown, our needs for pastoral leadership has also grown.

 This role: The full-time position is an associate pastor who would have ministry oversight, preaching and teaching, and congregational care responsibilities. This role would report directly to the Lead Pastor.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Support and provide oversight for assigned ministries (likely men’s ministry and women’s ministry; other ministries as needed).
  • Preach and teach during weekend services or other ministry events.
  • Perform baptisms, communion, weddings, and memorial services, as needed.
  • Attend leadership team, pastoral team, and staff meetings.
  • Counsel 1:1 or with couples and families.
  • Other general pastoral duties as assigned.

 Education and Experienced Preferred

  • College/seminary degree required.
  • 3-10 years of experience serving as a pastor on a church staff.
  • Ministry oversight experience.
