Crossroads Fellowship Church exists to proclaim the excellencies of Christ to Augusta, GA in our worship, walk, and witness. The role of the Associate Pastor will be to give administrative and structural support to Crossroads ministries. A major focus of this position will be to help Crossroads cultivate deliberate, discipling relationships among our families, one another, and across inter generational lines as found in Scripture. He will assist in producing a discipling culture throughout our member relationships (Eph 4:12-16, 6:4, Ti 2:1-10, 1 Jn 3:11-18, Ja 2:1-13, Co 3:12-17).

  • Oversee Crossroads’ calendar and activities relating to the membership of the church (members meetings, new members classes, baptism, Lord’s Supper, etc.)
  • Provide oversight in equipping members to disciple one another
  • Provide oversight to our Small Group ministry by training our leaders to plan, coordinate, and communicate our vision to the congregation
  • Provide oversight to our Youth and Family ministry by coordinating ministry that integrates youth into discipling relationships with their parents and other adult members in the congregation
  • Provide support and encouragement to our congregation in the pursuit of making disciples beyond the walls of our Church
  • Provide pastoral leadership to the communal life of Crossroads Fellowship through shepherding care by visitations, counseling, and hospitality
  • Act as an associate teaching elder occasionally teaching our congregation on Sunday mornings
  • Participate as a team member in Crossroads’ weekly staff meetings
  • Provide administrative support to the elders in developing and facilitating the ministry goals and objectives of Crossroads Fellowship Church
  • Plan and oversee the annual budget for our Discipleship ministries
  • Oversee bookstall and discipleship materials for the congregation
  • Must be a genuine believer and follower of Jesus Christ
  • Must agree with the Crossroads Fellowship Statement of Faith
  • Must prioritize Gods revealed Word as central in discipling relationships
  • Must sense that he is called to pastoral ministry
  • Must meet the qualifications for elders in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
  • Must be passionate about equipping and discipling others
  • Educational background in ministry and theology preferred
