Purpose: To manage healthy, multiplying community groups and adult education opportunities.
Reports to: Executive Pastor
Peers with: Pastoral Staff: Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor, Children’s Ministry Director, Operations Director

Ongoing Responsibilities:

• Carry out the day to day strategy and implementation for adult education.
• Encourage, care for, and develop community group leaders.
• Work with Senior Pastor and Executive Pastor related to community group leader training.
• Work with community group leaders engage in on-the-job apprenticing so potential leaders are raised up to multiply new groups.
• Coordinate with our connection manager to place people into groups and launch new groups.
• Help with our Discover process related to community groups.
• Attend staff meetings and be the champion for adult education and connection.
• Work with Senior and Executive Pastor to enhance the current education structure and classes.
• Membership, spiritual maturity, spiritual gifts, theology, etc.
• Resource and train teachers.
• Share the load of pastoral responsibilities: e.g. communion, baptisms, funerals, weddings, pastoral situations, counseling, etc.
• Be a member of the program staff team and help lead the execution of the church mission, vision and values.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Effective communicator with small to mid-size groups (e.g. leader’s gatherings).
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Able to wisely apply and communicate God’s Word to both young & old.
• Executor of plans through leaders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the leaders in a local church context.
• Has successfully led a small group.
• Able to cast vision, recruit, equip volunteer leaders.
