New Life Community Church is seeking a man of God to join our teaching/preaching team and serve as director of our Christian Education program which consists of a mid-week evening equipping School of Ministry for adults and overseeing a Sunday morning program consisting of K-12 and adult elective courses. We are looking for a man with proven preaching, teaching and administrative skills.
The Associate Pastor and Christian Education Director must be a person who is committed to Christ and His Great Commission, is in alignment with the provided vision, values, goals and ministry philosophy of New Life Community Church (see below) and is apt to preach, teach and witness.
He will oversee the Christian Education program and its ministry teams, be a part of the preaching/teaching team available to provide regular Biblical studies, sermons and ministry training.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, self-disciplined, takes initiative in ministry efforts, and is willing and able to:
- work in cooperation with the lead pastor and elders attending to the worship life of the church (feeding and equipping through the ministry of the Word).
- work in cooperation with other church staff, volunteers, ministry teams, and the members and friends of New Life Community Church
- work in cooperation with the lead pastor and elders to oversee and implement the Christian Education program to further our mission to grow a community of worshipers and disciple-making missionaries of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Purpose is to glorify God as a community of worshipers and disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through both the declaration and demonstration of the gospel.
Our Vision is to exemplify a fully functional Biblical community where every member is a minister of the grace they have received through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Mission as a church is to so present Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit (locally and globally) that people are willing to turn from their sins, put their faith in Him, trusting Him as Savior, submitting to Him as Lord, and become disciple-making missionaries in the community of His church.
Our Values – We regard the Word of God as central to our worship and fellowship life. Our weekly gatherings, classes, and home studies usually feature verse by verse exposition of the Scriptures. We also seek to engage every regular attender in meaningful membership and involvement in the disciple-making process. We offer membership classes and discipleship curricula towards this end.
We regard Christ Jesus as Lord over all of life- our physical, social, intellectual, family, recreational and work life, as well as our church life. He is Lord of the arts and the sciences. New Life Community Church has a strong auxiliary ministry, New Life Fine Arts, that seeks to encourage, equip and extend the expression of God’s truth, beauty and creativity through the performing and visual arts. An evangelistic arm of NLCC is the NLFA outreach through gospel-centered musical productions in area theaters. (More information is available on our websites: newlife.org and newlifefinearts.org.)
