Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for passionate leader who is called to help youth, children and families to start and grow in their apprenticeship to Jesus. The primary responsibilities for this position will be to oversee the development, planning, coordination, and evaluation of the ongoing ministries provided for the children, youth, and families of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. To this end the Associate Pastor/Director of Youth and Children’s Spiritual Formation would be the primary Shepard for children’s and youth ministry volunteer teams. He/She would pour themselves into creating sustainable and healthy ministry teams though strong communication, intentional training, spiritual direction, supervising, and recruiting. He/She would enjoy spending time with both Youth and Children in order to discover who they are, and what they need in order to grow deep and lasting spiritual roots.

Required Skills

He/She will have gifting in the arena of teaching youth and children, planning events for them and working with parents and training volunteers to work in youth and children’s programs. He/She will be able to create strong relationships with the church family to support youth and children’s spiritual development. He/She would enjoy being a major contributor to a tight-night ministry team, where they can be themselves in and environment that is highly relational and collaborative. He/She will be able to come alongside the Lead Pastor to help champion the importance of incorporating the next generation of Youth and Children holistically into the life of the church.
