Colonial Baptist Church (Killingly, CT) Bi-Vocational Pastor
The Big Picture
Colonial Baptist Church (colonialbaptistchurchct.com) is seeking a bi-vocational pastor to shepherd the flock through preaching, leading and pastoral care.
Colonial Baptist Church of Killingly, CT is a small church consisting of 7 members and 16 attendees. Our Pastor of the last six years just resigned on October 30th. We are looking for a Pastor who will be able to lead our congregation and help us to grow and be more effective at evangelizing unbelievers in our community as well as developing the spiritual growth of our members and attendees. We currently meet at the Killingly Grange on Sunday mornings. The church also owns a 13-acre lot that can be developed in the future. We do not have a Parsonage, but some of our members have apartments available if a Pastor and family need to relocate.
He will meet the qualifications for overseer as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-4. He will provide kingdom leadership to the members of the church enabling them to focus on the Great Commission and equipping them to carry out the five functions of the New Testament church: evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship, and worship.
At this time due to our financial commitments to our missionaries, our monthly rent and other operating expenses, the pastoral compensation package that we can offer is meager. Currently we would be able to offer a $300-350.00 weekly housing stipend. Compensation can be increased as we grow financially. Our new Pastor may have to be bi-vocational to adequately support his family.
