Multiply and mature children and families as disciples of Jesus Christ. This is a senior level pastoral leadership position responsible for providing direction for Central children from birth to 5th grade and families through vision casting, program implementation, and direct oversight of applicable staff, volunteers, and related ministries.
Recruit, train, supervise and shepherd the staff, volunteers and children.
Set vision and policy for the Children’s Ministry department.
Ensure integrity and responsibility in all areas of the ministry.
Develop and oversee programs to actively reach children and families of the community.
Develop and manage the department budget.
Provide counseling to children and parents on an as-needed basis.
Actively participate in the assimilation of visitors and new members to the church.
Maintain and coordinate the children’s ministry calendar in support of the overall church calendar.
Coordinate with staff and volunteers a summer camp for elementary age children.
Ensure the safety of all children and families at all times through safe ministry policies.
Participate in other pastoral functions and worship services as assigned.
Regularly report to the Executive Pastor of Ministries for accountability, encouragement, and planning.
A Christian committed to growing in Christ.
Support the mission, vision, and core values of Central Church.
At least three years experience, on staff at a church, in a leadership position ministering to children.
Prefer an individual with a graduate level seminary degree.
