Family Ministry Director
Job Description
The Family Ministry Director will be the main visionary and catalyst for children and youth ministries at iHope Community Church. The Family Ministry Director will establish relationships with parents, develop a children’s discipleship plan and reach out to families in the community
Responsibilities:
- Establish safety protocol to ensure the protection of all children and staff
- Coordinate Sunday morning worship service for children
- Mentor, recruit and equip volunteers to help with children’s ministry
- Establish “take home” resources for parents to assist parents in discipling children
- Work with lead pastor in strategizing ways to reach out to children/youth in the neighborhood
- Handling behavioral issues and engaging in conflict resolution when necessary
- Disciple and equip youth at iHope
- Assist with Awana
- Communicate vision to congregation through any means available
Qualifications
- Passion for Children Youth and Family ministry
- Self-starter: Able to work independently and responsibly
- Impeccable references and history in children’s ministry
- Evidenced godly life: No issues in life that would harm the reputation of Christ or the ministry of the church
- Organized
- People person who is able to connect with parents.
- Agreement without reservation iHope Statement of Faith
Time Requirements:5 hours per week outside of Sunday Morning Service and Awana Night
