Christ Central Church (PCA) is a dynamic, multi-ethnic church focused on freeing people to enjoy God, hear His truth, grow in diverse community and face the world with the renewed dignity that comes from Christ. Based on the east side of Charlotte, NC (28205), CCC depends on a small staff and active member servants to operate successfully.
This role will support the Pastors, Staff and Leaders of CCC’s ministries and congregational activities, as well as enable operational efficiency and productivity so that the Christ Central leadership team and members can fully utilize their gifts to further the Kingdom of God.
Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in administrative or operations roles in churches, non-profit or small business settings. They will have a heart for serving the church and its people with patience, professionalism, confidentiality, strong relationship-building & communication skills. They will possess excellent administrative abilities and be detail-oriented, technologically savvy, ready to take initiative and able to make a full-time commitment to this work. This is a salaried position, with benefits (including health insurance and paid time-off).
Responsibilities. The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
General Operations
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the church office.
- Maintain church records, files, and databases.
- Comply with church policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with pastors, staff, leaders, and member volunteers to ensure smooth operation of church activities.
- Purchase and store office and ministry supplies.
- Process expense reports for approval and payment by others.
Event Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate church events, meetings, and activities.
- Maintain the church calendar and ensure all events are properly planned and executed.
- Coordinate logistics for Sunday morning worship, special services, and other church functions.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers as needed.
Member Maintenance & Service Coordination
- Support ministry directors as they recruit, schedule & coordinate the service of members for various church ministry roles; ensure coverage and substitutions; help resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Schedule volunteers for worship services, special events, and other church-wide activities.
Maintenance of Church Membership
- Maintain the member database; ensure accurate and up-to-date membership records.
- Coordinate new member applications and manage membership inquiries.
- Track attendance and involvement of members in church activities.
- Assist with membership communications and follow-up.
Communications through Website & Email
Manage and update the church website and weekly church bulletin (worship order) with current information and events.
Send out regular email communications, including newsletters, event reminders, and announcements.
Maintain social media presence and engage with the church community online.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in an operations / administrative role in a church, small business or non-profit organization.
- Ability to dedicate approx. 40 hours per week, including regular in-person collaboration and Sunday morning activities.
- Knowledge of church operations and commitment to the mission & vision of ChristCentral Church.
- Strong organizational, collaboration and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and church management software (Planning Center / Church Center).
- Experience with website management (Squarespace), email marketing tools (MailChimp), social media & video tools (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field (preferred).
