Church Planter In Residence
Other Details
Grace Fellowship Church is a congregation of 350 located in the heart of Eastern North Carolina in a small town called Kinston. Here at Grace, we believe one of the most exciting and encouraging ways God is working is through church planting. Finding its roots and practice in scripture, and with an eye towards God’s mission, it’s also one of the most effective ways to draw others into life in Christ.
Our Church Planter in Residence program is Grace’s means of joining God in His mission to reconcile all things to
Himself and make disciples of all nations.
Our residency program is designed to be a post-graduate school. It’s a place to cultivate your previous theological education, and/or life experience, by growing in three main areas: Personal, Pastoral, and Planting. At Grace, we believe ministry is both caught and taught – you will be doing the work of ministry while also being trained/taught.
Over the course of 15-18 months, each resident will gain intensive training, encouragement, and experience in each of these areas while being a part of the vibrant and growing body at Grace, serving on staff, and ultimately be sent out to plant a church.
At Grace, you will receive multi-faceted, practical training with an emphasis on planting churches that reflect Grace’s DNA (essentials):
- Theologically-thoughtful
- Word-focused
- Missional
- Kingdom-minded
- Relational
- Grace-oriented
