The Big Picture

Coldspring Methodist Church is a loving, rural, historic church seeking an energetic, community-minded pastor with outstanding communication skills to meet the challenges of an aging congregation and assist in attracting a variety of age groups.

The Candidate

The pastor oversees and executes the administration of the church through appropriate staff and lay leadership teams, and ensures the completion of ministry, business, facility and logistical support functions through staff and lay volunteers.

^{-Presents inspiring and uplifting Bible based sermons in line with the Global Methodist Church}

^{-Provides leadership in planning and executing effective discipleship programs}

^{-Visits members and prospects; leads effective visitation and evangelism programs}

–^{Provides leadership in the design, growth and implementation of all church ministries including} education, youth programs and on-sight prekindergarten

^{-Leads by example demonstrating selfless dedication to others, i.e. responding to members emergent} needs, teaching Bible study, explaining scripture, offering spiritual guidance and counseling as necessary

^{-Is involved in the community and ecumenical affairs}

–^{Leads the church in cooperating with associational, state and denominational leaders. Keeps the church} informed of developments within the denomination

Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

TBD (able to be or already credentialed and ordained as required by The Global Methodist Church)

Preferred Skills:

Excellent communication, counseling and spiritual maturity required
