Summary
Responsible for assisting the Executive International Director [EID] in fulfillment of global objectives and handle any delegated responsibilities, averaging 40 hours of work per week. Relocation is not necessary.
You will interface virtually and in person with foreign leadership and church planters in FMI’s partner countries. Develop these partners through prayer, biblical and practical training, provision of tangible resources, and collection and management of field reports. Frequent travel to partner countries enhances connection with the partners, as you get to know the leadership teams, their ministries, and their culture. This is a senior-level decision-making position and can include drafting monthly budgets for our countries of partnership, exploring new countries for potential partnerships, and determining the make-up of national boards. This is a remote and support-based position.
Qualifications
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Be committed to furthering FMI’s mission as a faith-based ministry.
- Agree to uphold FMI’s doctrinal statement.
- Submit to and honor the standards outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or the Standard of Christian Conduct.
- Faithfully attend and financially support a local church whose beliefs are in agreement with FMI’s doctrinal statement.
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred) and have demonstrated a passion for the advancement of Christ’s Kingdom in ‘creative access countries.’
- Demonstrate a high proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess previous cross-cultural experience, especially in Christian ministry.
- Must be able to work remotely.
