About the Director of Operations role:
The Director of Operations will be the driving force and strategic mind behind the operational health and development of Park Church. In collaboration with the Lead Pastor, they will be a servant leader dedicated to supporting the Lead Pastor by providing organizational management, strategic planning, and unified coordination across all areas of church life. This role will include assessing, creating, managing, and developing systems, teams, policies, and procedures that promote Park’s faithfulness to Jesus and the accomplishment of God’s vision of renewal here in Monmouth County and beyond.
The ideal candidate will have the following Personal Characteristics:
- A love for and commitment to the people, theology, culture, and vision of Park Church.
- Connects well with the Lead Pastor, comfortable and confident in the “second chair.”
- A collaborative team player who also knows how to “get stuff done.”
- Trustworthy, above reproach.
- Humble, desires to learn and grow.
- Spiritually mature.
- Strong sense of timing and ability to “make sure the train leaves on time.”
Key areas of responsibility include:
Volunteer Development – will oversee all volunteer teams and create systems of recruitment, training, and development that help church members identify their gifts and match them to volunteer opportunities.
Communication – will develop and oversee a unified church-wide communication strategy that leverages all communication tools for the accomplishment of the vision, including church website, social media, etc., information technology (CCB, Teams, etc.), graphic design, calendars, etc.
Faculties – will oversee facilities management of 31 Park Road and 312 Hance Avenue. This includes being the point person for any building-related needs or requests and interacting with vendors, volunteers, and renters. This also includes overseeing any building/renovation projects (e.g. 312 Hance) and managing any facilities-related staff.
