Job Description

• Lead English worship services, Sunday school, Bible studies, outreach programs, caring ministries, and fellowship activities for the English-speaking congregation.
• Preach and teach in English worship services and Sunday school with a focus on life transformation in Christ, helping the congregation apply biblical principles in their daily lives.
• Develop discipleship and training programs for English-speaking believers.
• Collaborate with youth ministers to engage parents, families, youth, and other adults in fostering spiritual growth and faith development, building a Christ-centered community.
• Equip and nurture the spiritual gifts of English congregation members to cultivate a heart of servanthood.
• Support the overall mission, development, and direction of the Church.
• Report to the Council of Elders and attend Board of Directors (BOD) meetings.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of personal salvation.
• A definite calling from God confirmed through Scripture.
• Possession of at least a Master of Divinity degree.
• A firm belief that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the final authority for Christian faith and life.
• Full agreement with NVCCC’s statement of faith, bylaws, and practices.
• A passionate love for Christ, reflected in daily life and character.
• A strong burden for evangelism and enthusiasm for making disciples of Christ.
• Spiritual and emotional maturity.
• Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and teaching skills.
• Ordained as a pastor.

Northern Virginia Chinese Christian Church (NVCCC) is a bicultural congregation founded in 1974 and located in Fairfax, Virginia. Our congregation consists of approximately 80 Chinese-speaking and 20 English-speaking members.
