The Hope Center is seeking an Executive Director to provide Christ-centered focus, direction, and vision for the mission of the center. We are a parachurch ministry for women experiencing unplanned pregnancy. Potential candidates must have excellent communication skills as well as a desire for and commitment to community education and involvement, staff leadership, resource development, budgeting, strategic planning, and client program oversight and development.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to life affirming care for women, men, and their babies, as well as sexual purity.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold The Hope Center’s Mission, Vision, Philosophy of Ministry, Commitment of Care and Statement of Faith and Principle.
  • Have two to five years experience of leadership in a non-profit ministry environment including supervising, marketing, fundraising, and public relations/development.
  • Exhibit strong skills in interpersonal communication, public speaking, writing, and effective media relations.
  • Be able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, encouragement, and direction for the staff members.

Essential Functions
Administrative

  • Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the center.
  • Provide managerial support, direction, supervision, and training to the center staff.
  • Coordinate with treasurer, directors, and staff on annual budget that is presented to the Board of Directors for approval.
  • Oversee expenditures for budgeted expenses of center, oversee purchase requests and ensure that accurate and current financial records are kept and reported to the board monthly.
  • Oversee the compilation of statistical reports, accurate record keeping, and monthly reporting to the board.
  • Work with Director of Operations on day-to-day ministry operations, including donor database management, correspondence, fundraising event logistics, marketing and building maintenance.
  • Work with the Nurse Manager, Medical Staff and volunteer Medical Director to oversee the ongoing development and execution of medical policies and procedures.
  • Work with Director of Client Services and Client Advocates to oversee the ongoing development and execution of counseling and client advocate related policies and procedures, and community referrals.
  • Maintain Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Ensure that all center policies are carried out, as well as coordinate with appropriate staff members on new policies to be approved and implemented.
  • Maintain center affiliations including NIFLA and CareNet.
  • Hold consistent staff meetings.
  • Attend all board meetings and present a monthly report.
  • Serves as liaison between board of directors and staff operations of the center.

Donor Development

  • Produce long and short-term financial objectives to accomplish the ministry goals while continually assessing goals and possible expansion of the pregnancy center ministry in the community.
  • Plan, conduct, and work with directors, staff and volunteers to execute major fundraising events, direct mail pieces and newsletters each year.
  • Develop and execute a program to appeal to church mission boards for financial support.
  • Communicate with donors on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate a yearly calendar for the ministry and implementation of special events.

Public Relations

  • Educate the local community, including churches, pastors, community groups, as well as the professional community about the ministry of HOPE with the goal of obtaining support and involvement with the ministry.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with pastors, churches, other ministries and community agencies that meet client needs.
  • Represent the ministry and services of HOPE to the community and media.
  • Develop, oversee, and revise promotional materials used in presenting HOPE’s mission, vision and philosophy of ministry.
