Ridgefield Baptist Church is a vibrant, Gospel-centered congregation of 130 members in beautiful Fairfield County, Connecticut. We’re grounded in God’s Word, thankful for His grace, and committed to pursuing God’s will in all we do. We’re a financially healthy church with no debt, dedicated staff, and strong community ties. What You’ll Do

• Preach & Teach: Deliver engaging, Gospel-centered messages rooted in Scripture that transform lives and help people grow as disciples.
• Lead & Vision Cast: Work collaboratively with our leadership team to guide the church toward God’s mission and vision for our future.
• Pastor & Care: Build meaningful relationships within our congregation and broader community, shepherding people in their walk with Christ.
• Develop Others: Mentor and empower staff, volunteers, and emerging leaders to discover and use their God-given gifts in ministry.
• Community Engagement: Connect with local organizations and neighbors to share Christ’s love and the transformative power of the Gospel.

What We’re Looking For

Faith & Character

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ, committed to maturing in their walk with Jesus Christ and devoted to Scripture.
• Full agreement with our Statement of Faith and baptistic practices.
• Demonstrates biblical elder qualifications (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1)Experience & Education.
• Master’s degree in theology or related field (MDiv preferred).
• 5+ years of senior ministry experience with regular preaching and pastoral care.
• Experience leading staff and volunteers.

Skills & Strengths

• Excellent communicator who preaches expositionally with Gospel-centered conviction and a conversational style, helping people come to Christ and grow as everyday disciples.
• Strong relational skills – approachable and genuinely caring for people.
• Emotionally intelligent with good organizational abilities.
• Heart for pastoral care and making disciples who make disciples.

• Able to cast vision and guide strategic direction.
• Committed to developing people and building community.
