First Baptist Church (Holyoke, CO) – Pastor

The Big Picture

First Baptist Church (holyokefbc.com) is seeking a pastor who will serve faithfully, preach the Word of God, exemplify godly character and equip the church to carry out the Great Commission locally and globally.

The Church

Our mission is “Sharing Christ & Building Believers.”  Our vision is “to be a community where, in Christ, we pursue a better way to live, where outsiders seek to belong, and where everyone is equipped and encouraged to fully trust Jesus and serve Him.” We are located on the eastern plains of Colorado (No mountains).  As a small agricultural community, we call to God for our very livelihoods as we plant the seed, watch it grow, and reap the harvest.  Our trust is in Him.  We are looking for a pastor who understands the land and is willing to lead us as we seek to touch the world around us.  The fields are ripe for harvest.  We need a leader to manage the harvest.

The Qualifications

We require a man that meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus. The preferred minimum education is a seminary graduate along with previous pastoral experience. We want a strong Biblical preacher and one who is in line with our Statement of Faith.  He must have a heart to reach all people of our multi-cultural community.

How To Apply

The Process

Please look over this job description and the church website. Along with your resume please answer these questions:

  1. Why do you believe that you might be a good fit for First Baptist Church?
  2. Describe your experiences in ministry and how you may be qualified to serve as the Pastor of First Baptist Church?
  3. In just a few sentences please give a summary of your theology and how that is in line with the doctrine of First Baptist Church?
  4. What is your long-term vision for ministry?

Please send your resume, the answers to these questions and a link to at least one online sermon to [email protected].
