The Big Picture
Elk Ridge Baptist Church (eldridgebaptist.org) is an independent Baptist Church of about 110 led by a group of Elders. We are seeking a full time Pastor.
The Church
The church started about 8 years ago in Stephenville TX. a town with large influence
from Tarleton University. Two small groups of Christians led by Wes Bishop & Andy Hansen merged with a shared vision that God desired to start a new church. A new church with a commitment to study God’s Word deeply, support world missions eagerly and build relationships intentionally with people longing to know God better and expand God’s Kingdom. Wes & Andy served as co-pastors of Elk Ridge Baptist Church from its inception and for a time, had a full-time pastor a few years ago. Two additional Elders were added since. The Church met at a small house at 634 East Road in Stephenville for several years. After seasons of God’s favor and growth, and greatly expanding and renovating the East Road facilities to its capacity; the church built a new facility and began worshiping at 1515 Alexander Rd next to Elk Ridge Estates in November 2020. Elk Ridge Baptist Church has a passion for God and His glory and although much of our staff is bi-vocational we minister first to the congregation, while looking forward to living out the mission of the Gospel and by planting other works in communities close by & around the world. We have most of the normal programs, but our heart & vision is to spread the gospel locally & beyond. To raise up and train disciples of Jesus Christ and to support missions. This outreach & community involvement leans towards to church plants instead of growing a large congregation. ERBC planted Hillside Baptist Church in August 2022. Current nontraditional programs include: College Ministry, Intern Program, Church Planting, Mission Trips, Spanish Ministry & Evangelism training.
The Candidate
We are seeking a full-time pastor to preach the Word of God and equip the church for works of service. We require a man that meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus.
The Compensation Total Package: $80,000
