Greenville Baptist Church, RI is a mission-minded, financially sound congregation whose most recent pastor retired after almost 13 years. God has blessed this church with recent renewals in attendance, several well-attended Bible studies, increasing prayer lives, and several new outreach projects to the community and beyond.

A pastor called to this church needs to be a shepherd, able to work with and communicate well with the lay leadership. They should be able to do all the typical pastoral duties, including being able to prepare and give insightful, Bible-based messages, comfort and encourage the sick, dying or those walking through dark valleys. They should embrace the mission outreaches of the church, the technology being used and expanded, and the Christian education of both children and adults.

This congregation is a mix of people with various backgrounds and ideologies but who share a strong faith, an earnest desire to walk closer to Christ, and a heart for serving others.  We are praying for an ordinary person, who serves an extraordinary Lord and Savior.

Candidates must be in good standing with the American Baptist Churches USA, hold at least a Master of Divinity degree, and have at least five years’ experience in ministry.

The total compensation package—including salary, housing allowance, and benefits—is in a starting range of $78,000 to $90,000 and will be commensurate with experience.
