The pastor of this church has recently retired. We are a very small country church with less than twenty full time members. We, however, have a large church building and a parsonage right next to the church. Below is the notification we are putting out to solicit applications.
First Baptist Church of Groton, Vermont is looking for a godly man with a gift for evangelism to pastor a small congregation of conservative believers. Due to the size of the congregation, the Pastor would need to be bi-vocational (have a second job). Reaching out to young families in a rural community of fewer than 1000 is a priority. The church building was established in the mid 1800s, and the 5-bedroom, 2 1/2 bath parsonage next door has a recent addition. The pastor (who just retired) and his family ministered at FBC for fifteen years.
It might be beneficial if the pastor was bi-vocational or able to have a second job.
