Other Details
The East Woodstock Congregational Church, in East Woodstock, CT Seeks Full Time Settled Pastor, ordained or ordainable, beginning August 2026.
Come home. Follow country roads through the rural beauty of Woodstock. Pass farms with a patchwork quilt of seasonal crops, orchards or establishments of local entrepreneurs. Woodstock has over 300 years of history. Roseland Cottage in the heart of Woodstock has hosted 4 presidents! Impressive, but Woodstock was also home to Big Bird, Caroll Spinney, actor Brian Dennehy and currently, author Nathaniel Philbrick… a very desirable place to live.
You’re getting closer. The chorus of bells rings throughout East Woodstock. Follow the sound. Look for the spire. There! A steeple, white Tuscan columns, a beautiful, historic New England Church.
Come in. Here’s a glimpse of who we are. The life of faith at EWCC flourishes in the knowledge that we are all God\’s beloved children seeking to walk more closely in the ways of Jesus Christ. We are individuals with different perspectives, backgrounds and views of the world. Searching for a pastor who can minister to all is of paramount importance. We want to prioritize what unites us, not what separates us. We are individuals, but collectively we yearn to be in fellowship with one another and with Christ. We understand God is still speaking. We want a gifted preacher to clarify and make God\’s holy word relevant. Christ has no body but ours, so we seek a minister who can inspire and encourage us to be the people God intends us to be guided by the Holy Spirit and genuine in our efforts to do good and share God’s love.
Come in. There’s so much more to know about us!
But first, here’s information you’ll want to know. We offer a compensation package of $90,000 – $125,000 which includes residence in our parsonage or housing allowance. August off.
