Pastor of Youth and Young Adults

Our full-time Pastor of Youth and Young Adults will work alongside the pastoral leadership of our church. In their pastoral duties, he or she will focus on the youth (middle school and high school) and young adults (college and early career) of our church. He or she will place a priority on the youth ministry of our church (approx. 80% of time) while also advocating for and intentionally connecting the young adults to our church (approx. 20% of time). An MDiv. is preferred, working towards an MDiv expected. A more comprehensive job description is currently being developed.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be someone who is gifted in teaching and preaching that reaches a wide-range of listeners and participants. He or she will have experience as a strong communicator that fosters a grace-oriented setting. This person will be able to maturely and winsomely express the truths of the gospel, especially as these truths intersect and collide with our cultural moment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion to influence teenagers and young adults for the sake of the gospel. He or she will be able to share their thoughts of what a vibrant and healthy youth ministry looks like and have a strategy to equip Christians to lovingly stand for the truth, consistently serve the local church, and effectively reach the unchurched. The successful candidate will be a fun and engaging team-player whose ministry flows from their vibrant love for the Lord. He or she will exhibit the ability to mesh well with our other lay-leaders and pastoral leadership. He or she will possess a background in recruiting, leading teams, and developing other leaders. They will also demonstrate a willingness to intentionally engage in the lives of students and young adults.
