Each Resident will work 20-30 hours per week at the church, allowing time for continuing seminary education. Residents will experience a broad range of pastoral and leadership responsibilities while receiving training, mentoring, and feedback. Residents will discern their call to ordained ministry in cooperation with the parish and diocese. The Residency will last three years. At the end of three years, Residents will be both ordainable and employable, ready to serve in senior church leadership.
About Christ the King
Christ the King (CTK) is a daughter church of The Falls Church Anglican, and a member of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, a regional diocese of the Anglican Church in North America. CTK began in January 2006 under the leadership of the Rev. David Glade. We are located in Alexandria, Virginia, heavily influenced by our proximity to Washington, DC, and committed to our community. Average Sunday attendance is 300+ souls. We have enjoyed steady growth in the depth and breadth of our music ministry, children’s and youth ministries, and men’s and women’s ministries, and small groups. Two international and four local mission partners complement our church’s vision.
