Purpose:

The Church Next Door Next Door is a dynamic non-denominational Church in the greater Columbus area that is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, creative, and leader who can advance the mission and worship of The Church Next Door.

Execute excellent weekend services at The Church Next Door by leading the volunteer production team and keeping our audio, video, and lighting equipment up and running.

Essential Duties:

• Recruits, trains, leads, and motivates technical production team volunteers.
• Leads, schedules, and develops a team of volunteers to provide a high-quality service experience every weekend, as well as any special events held at The Church Next Door.
• Leads technical production ministry services for weekend worship experiences at The Church Next Door, as well as weekly rehearsals and any events held on The Church Next Door property, manages, and leads volunteer tech team in said events/experiences.
• Prepares production lead sheets, directors’ sheets, and communicates plans so that volunteers are organized and work effectively.
• Partners and communicates effectively with the worship leader on a weekly basis to ensure all sets, arrangements, song structures, and message notes/images are clearly made available to appropriate members of the production team.
• Attend and actively participate in all staff and leadership team meetings.
• Identify equipment needs and research solutions for all ministries requiring production support, oversee equipment maintenance schedules, manage vendor relationships including bidding and negotiations.
• Effective within a team environment, helping to promote an atmosphere of open and honest communication to build healthy working relationships in which mutual respect, trust, and a commitment to Christian love for one another are paramount.
• Provide direct support and supervision for designated direct reports including establishing annual goals, objectives, and completing annual performance reviews.
• Assists in stage set-up/tear down for any event/worship experience. Ensures post-production audio is completed after services/events.
• Supervises and operates handheld and mounted cameras for live and recorded video, including setup, lighting, and maintenance of various lighting and camera equipment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• High School graduate or bachelor/associate degree from accredited college
• 3-5 years related AV experience.
  • Lightkey DMX lighting console, ProPresenter and TriCaster are preferred production software/equipment.
• Understanding of and willingness to serve within the doctrinal commitments of The Church Next Door.
• A growing Christian faith and character.
• A commitment to the mission, vision, and values of The Church Next Door Next Door.
• A lifestyle congruent with the biblical requirements for leaders (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
