The Harvard Law School Program on Biblical Law and Christian Legal Studies offers students the opportunity to integrate law, leadership, and life through the study, debate, and application of the teaching of the Bible. The Program on Biblical Law and Christian Legal Studies (PBLCLS) at Harvard Law School seeks a highly motivated, exceptionally organized, technically savvy individual to manage operations in the Program office day-to-day, plan and support PBLCLS law school and university events, contribute significantly to fundraising efforts and donor relations, manage and support meetings of the Program Board of Directors, develop relations with and work closely with leaders/managers of other Programs, work closely with other Program staff to execute program initiatives , lead all communication with media and provide assistance with the financial transactions and reporting for the Program.   We are looking for candidates who have a genuine passion for the Program’s mission.

As Program Manager you will: 

  • Plan and execute Program activities, events and fundraising initiatives with the Faculty Director and the Advisory Board.  
  • Interact with students, faculty, and staff within the Law School and across the University on behalf of the Program. 
  • Manage the work of a staff assistant; develop training plan and onboarding, determine workflow, assess performance. 
  • Be the point of contact for Law School Daniel Fellows, visiting faculty and scholars, interested HLS alumni and members of the Board of Directors. 
  • Oversee and manage use of office space and all Program offices. 
  • Assist with budgeting and expense support. 
  • With faculty director and other staff, develop and execute events and programs presented by PBLCLS, including major multi-school Harvard reunion event. 
  • Coordinate meetings; managing complex schedules. 
  • Manage the program’s contact lists and calendar. 
  • Lead digital communications efforts via Mailchimp, Social Media platforms (Twitter, Instagram), manage the website content and calendar (WordPress). 
  • Lead the Program’s library initiatives. 
  • Onboard new hires and fellows. 
  • Assist senior management in formulating policies and procedures; make recommendations to improve overall administration. 
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures and applicable legal rules and regulations. 
  • Analyze metrics to support strategic planning and fundraising efforts. 
  • Assist with preparation and management of departmental budget. 
  • Maintain relationships with alumni and funders. 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and three years of experience in office administration or related field. 

We are looking for people who have: 

  • Advanced degree highly desirable. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail. 
  • Supervisory experience; experience with staff management and development; workflow.  
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and accomplish tasks without supervision, and creatively solve problems. 
  • Good judgment under pressure, while negotiating competing priorities. 
  • Advanced knowledge of office management, including competency in Microsoft Office 
  • Significant experience with event management and execution of events. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated writing, proofreading, and social media skills. 
  • Experience with basic graphic design skills. 
  • Project management experience required.  
  • Discretion and a proven ability to handle confidential information. 

This is an in-person/on-campus position based in Cambridge, MA.  There is limited flexibility for remote work during summers and law school breaks.
