Christ the Saviour Anglican Church (Mt. Vernon, VA) seeks a full-time Rector to lead our
congregation. As a member of the Anglican Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic, our bishop is the Rt.
Reverend John Guernsey and our Bishop-Elect is the Rev. Chris Warner.

We seek a rector that will help us fulfill our vision of seeing all reconciled, healed, and restored in
Christ through the Cross. As a small congregation, we seek a pastor firmly grounded in Biblical
knowledge to lead our congregation in worship, renewal, education, and outreach.

Requirements

• The full-time Rector models a godly personal and family life.
• The full-time Rector* will fulfill the Biblical mandates as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:1-9.
• Exemplify an active prayer life.
• Hold no loyalties or adherence to a secret society.
• Prepare and deliver sermons rooted in Anglican doctrine and identity.
• Celebrate the Holy Eucharist in accordance with the ACNA Book of Common Prayer.
• Carefully plan services that respect the liturgical traditions of the historic Anglican church and welcome parishioner testimonies and prayer requests.
• Be receptive to the gifts of the Spirit and supportive of healing ministry.
• Provide regular educational opportunities outside of Sunday to foster Biblical wisdom.
• Perform periodic visits (house calls) to get to know and care for those attending Christ the
  Saviour.
• Preach most services of the year.
• Perform baptisms, weddings, and funerals as needed.
• Work hand in hand with the Vestry in accordance with the bylaws of the church and the
  Constitution and Canons of the Anglican Church in North America and the Diocese of the MidAtlantic.
