The Big Picture

Believers Bible Church (lufkinbible.org) is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to preach the Word of God and shepherd the people of God.

Qualifications

  • Meets the requirements of an elder as specified in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
  • A Masters of Divinity or equivalent.
  • A working knowledge of Hebrew and Greek.
  • Agrees/supports the doctrinal statements contained within the Believers Bible Church (BBC) Constitution: https://lufkinbible.org/about/church-constitution.
  • Knows their spiritual gifts.
  • Endorses our mission statement: Energizing Lives with the Word so that Christ is prized, praised, pursued and proclaimed.
  • Supports a strong missions program.
  • Strongly holds to a traditional dispensational theology.
  • Firmly holds to a free grace theology.
  • Expositional preacher.
  • Loves God’s people.
  • Devoted to personal prayer and strongly encourages corporate prayer.
  • Willing to minister through visitation of the elderly and those hospitalized.
  • Committed to personal Bible study and spiritual growth.
  • If married, has a family supportive of husband/father in the ministry.
  • Willing to work within the pastoral-eldership leadership team.
  • Age: Greater than 30 years.
  • Has ministry experience.
  • Desires to connect with people of all ages and stages of life.
  • Capacity to assess and nurture congregational health.
