Essex Alliance Church is a vibrant and engaging multi-staff and multi-campus church of about 1,500, located just outside of Burlington, the largest city in Vermont. We are seeking a Pastor of Student Ministries to lead, develop and grow our high school and middle school ministries.
In this role you will connect relationally with the youth, plan ministry programming and events, lead ministry volunteers, and regularly communicate with parents.
These outreach-oriented and relational ministries require a self-motivated and dynamic leader who loves students and has prior experience working with them. Strong communication and organizational skills along with experience in planning and implementing programs and events are preferred. Experience in a larger church setting is a plus. A paid ministry assistant will support administrative, programming and event planning needs. Essex Alliance highly values great staff relationships and puts a priority on caring for staff needs. With the Green Mountains to one side and picturesque Lake Champlain on the other, the greater Burlington, Vermont area (pop. 163,000+) is an outdoor-lover’s destination, beloved for its natural beauty and down-to-earth spirit. As the state’s largest city, Burlington also has plenty of in-town attractions, including a thriving arts, music and food scene; retail attractions and the youthful vibe of a multi-college town.
A bachelor’s degree in Bible, ministry or equivalent is required. Essex Alliance Church is a part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, and as such, all candidates must be eligible for licensure with the C&MA.
