Transitional Pastor
Other Details
Name of church: Union Congregational Church of Hebron
Position: Part time Transitional Pastor
Denomination: UCC
Union Congregational Church is seeking a part time transitional pastor as our current pastor is retiring. This is a temporary position until such time as a settled pastor is in place. We are a small UCC church located on the common of the quintessential New England village of Hebron, New Hampshire. Located on the shores of Newfound Lake and at the base of the White Mountains, we are surrounded by natural beauty with countless opportunities for four season outdoor activities. Hebron neighbors the university town of Plymouth, NH and is one hour north of Concord and two hours north of Boston.
Our welcoming congregation, originally formed nearly 250 years ago, is stable with a weekly church attendance of approximately 30 and a membership of about 60. Members are actively involved in the life of the church and its missions and the church is financially strong. Church members generously support those in need, nearby and beyond. Additionally, the church hosts local organizations and serves as the community emergency shelter.
We are seeking a transitional pastor who will preach a spiritually uplifting and stimulating sermon and who will provide pastoral care while supporting community outreach. The pastor will coordinate services with the music director and will attend meetings of the church leadership.
