Position Summary
The Worship Director will be part of an exciting new church plant and will have the opportunity to help build and shape systems, processes, and culture, in collaboration with the Lead Pastor. The Worship Director for Redeemer Brooklyn (RBK) maintains a personal passion for worship, provides music direction and leadership for Sunday services, creates a participatory worship experience that fosters the spiritual formation of the congregation. Music Direction

Music Direction
- In consultation with the Lead Pastor, contribute to the missional and strategic direction of RBK’s services and music.
- Curate songs and music for Sunday services and other worship events in collaboration with Lead Pastor.
- Recruit musicians, singers and worship leaders for Sunday services.
- Rehearse musicians and song leaders on Sunday and additional rehearsals, when needed.
- Interface with A/V staff concerning setup, sound direction, artistic vision, logistics and equipment
- Solicit staff and congregant feedback.
- Maintain personal passion for worship and commitment to continued growth and development; pray regularly for other musicians and the church; worship primarily at RBK.
Administrative and Operations Support for Worship
- Work with Lead Pastor on worship service liturgies and other service elements.
- Interface with A/V and sound personnel to ensure good communication, operation and to foster the inter-organizational relationship with rental venue.
- Create, collate and send out the prep and service materials.
- Assist in creating and organizing liturgies and worship slides.
- Submit pay requests for any contractors used.
- Assist with stage set-up, including speakers, mics, audio/video, etc.
- Anticipate and plan music and sound equipment maintenance and upgrades.
- Attend relevant worship and staff meetings.

- Proficient in MS office applications, Internet and ability to quickly learn new software and programs.
- Minimum 5 years professional experience, experience with a religious or 501(c)3 nonprofit preferred.
