The Role

The First Baptist Heath Worship Leader is responsible for designing and facilitating weekend worship services that are in line with FBC’s culture, mission, and vision. The Worship Leader is tasked with creating an uplifting and passionate worship service that helps people to connect with God on a weekly basis. 

About FBC

First Baptist Church of Heath Ohio has a rich history of proclaiming the gospel and impacting central Ohio for the kingdom. As a church, we exist to glorify God by making disciples of all nations. We are a gospel centered church that focuses on expository preaching, authentic community, discipleship and family ministries. We are a growing, medium sized, multi-generational church. 

Heath is located in Licking County which is one of the fastest growing counties in the country. Facebook, Google and Amazon all have facilities in Licking County and recently Intel has begun building the largest semiconductor plant in the world right here in Licking County. Now considered the Silicon Valley of the Midwest our community is poised for significant growth and change over the next five years. Heath is 30 minutes from Columbus, Ohio which is the 14th largest city in the nation and has no shortage of great restaurants, shopping and things to do. The Heath, Newark, and Granville area currently has a population of over 100,000 people and is expected to grow exponentially in the next few years. 

Licking County is home to good public schools, private Christian schools and a strong homeschool community. Providing a great balance between city and country living, Heath is a great place to raise a family. 

The Worship Leader Will:

• Support the culture, mission, vision, and of FBC
• Attend weekly staff and team meetings
• Schedule worship team members and volunteers to ensure all necessary positions are filled for weekend services and other events
• Manage volunteer teams
  • Recruit, develop and equip band and vocalists
  • Meet regularly with team members to develop, train, and cast vision
• Lead and implement the vision of the Lead Pastor for our worship services.
• Plan and execute all worship services.
• Working knowledge of sound and lighting equipment. 
• Experience in industry software applications preferred (Planning Center Online, ProPresenter)
• Willing to lead and direct other ministries within the church depending on gifting and need.

• Theologically driven and creative.
• The proven ability to identify, train, lead, relate to, and care for the worship team.
• Be a leader of high integrity and humility.
• High level of musical expertise.
• Energetic and uplifting style of leading worship.
• Passionate about growing a worship team spiritually and musically.
• Clear salvation testimony and history of faithful church attendance, faithful tithing and service to the local church.
• In full agreement with the Statement of Faith of FBC Heath.

Education & Experience

• 3-5 years of ministry experience in worship.
• Ministry training and undergraduate degree preferred; Seminary is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Salary Package based on experience and qualifications, benefits include health benefits, dental, and retirement. 

Full Time 40+ hrs/weekly
