About This Role

This is primarily a pastoral role, with the responsibility of shepherding the flock through spiritual leadership in service to God and his Church. This role responds to God’s calling to serve him and expand the reach of the gospel to build the Kingdom.

The Worship Pastor is responsible for ensuring opportunities for corporate worship are engaging and effective in glorifying God and connecting people spiritually to God.

Primary Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

• Provide leadership to our weekend services to be vibrant worship experiences that fulfill the mission and vision of Harvest Springs.
• Actively recruit, train, and develop people with musical abilities to participate on the worship teams.
• Actively recruit, train, and develop people to operate the necessary technology (audio/visual/lighting) for the weekend services and online streaming.
• Intentionally disciple and shepherd those serving in your ministry arena.
• Plan and oversee a cohesive flow in the weekend services in conjunction with the Lead Teaching Pastor and those who are preaching in our weekend services.
• Oversee the development of our online presence through live streaming & on-demand media.
• Video filming and editing for creative elements and communications or other ministry projects.
• Collaborate and communicate with church staff to implement ministry and further the Gospel.
• Other pastoral duties as assigned, such as preaching, care and counseling, involvement with additional ministry and outreach events, and staff activities.

• Musical ability vocally, along with the capability of playing multiple instruments.
• Understanding of sound mixing, lighting, stage design, and video editing.
• Track record of building and empowering teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to think strategically and provide direction.
• Able to prioritize, use initiative, and work proactively.
• Efficient and reliable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

• College Level Undergraduate Degree. Preferred biblical/ministry emphasis.
• 3 to 5 years of church related ministry desired.

• Maintain a vibrant and healthy spiritual life and a close relationship with Christ.
• Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through all interactions with the congregation, volunteers, church staff, and community.
• Be loyal to the vision and staff of Harvest Springs and always protect the unity of the church.

About Harvest Springs 

Harvest Springs Community Church exists to build a Jesus-centered community where people take their next steps following Jesus. Like the promise of Psalm 107:35–37, we believe God is turning spiritual desert places into springs of life through centering lives on Jesus, cultivating growth, renewal, and fruitfulness in the heart of north-central Montana.

Our church family, which averages between 350 – 400 in attendance, gathers every Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. for vibrant, Christ-centered, and multigenerational worship. Harvest Springs is led by a shared leadership model involving two lead pastors: a lead teaching pastor and a lead executive pastor. We are committed to shared leadership throughout our team, where collaboration, creativity, and mutual encouragement inform our approach to serving and leading.

From Harvest Kids to Harvest Youth, we cherish every generation as part of God’s story, helping each individual grow in faith and take their next step toward Jesus together. Community Groups and serving teams enable people to connect beyond Sunday as we build community together.  God has been transforming lives through baptisms over the past two years, and we’re praying for God to do even more in and through us as a church (Ephesians 3:14-21).
