Position Type: Part-Time
Hours: 10–12 hours per week
Compensation: $1,200 monthly stipend
Reports To: Lead Pastor/Ministry Operations Director

Position Overview

The Young Adult Director is responsible for leading, developing, and nurturing the young adult ministry of the church. This role focuses on building community, fostering spiritual growth, and helping young adults feel connected, discipled, and engaged in the life of the church. The ideal candidate has a heart for young adults, a growing relationship with Christ, and the ability to lead with authenticity, consistency, and vision.

Key Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership & Discipleship

• Lead a weekly or bi-weekly Bible study for young adults
• Provide spiritual guidance, encouragement, and pastoral care to young adults
• Create environments where young adults can grow in their faith and relationships
• Model a Christ-centered life in word and action

Events & Community Building

• Plan, organize, and lead one young adult event per month
• Create opportunities for fellowship, outreach, and connection
• Encourage participation and involvement among young adults

Church Integration

• Become a regular member and active giver of the church
• Encourage young adults to engage in Sunday services, serving teams, and church life
• Collaborate with church staff and leadership as needed

Administration & Communication

• Communicate regularly with young adults regarding Bible studies, events, and updates
• Assist with promotion of young adult ministry through church communication channels
• Manage ministry time effectively within the 10–12 hour weekly commitment

Qualifications

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a passion for young adult ministry
• Ability to teach, lead discussions, and build relationships
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience in ministry, leadership, or working with young adults preferred
• Alignment with the church’s mission, values, and beliefs

Time Commitment

• 10–12 hours per week
• Includes Bible study preparation and leadership, monthly event planning, and relational ministry

Compensation

• $1,200 monthly stipend
