Big Timber Evangelical Church (Big Timber, MT) – Youth Pastor

The Big Picture

The Big Timber Evangelical Church is seeking a Youth Pastor who is full-time with key responsibilities to lead our Student Ministries. Responsibilities include working with, encouraging, supporting, and equipping our volunteer leaders who lead our Sunday ministries and Wednesday ministries. The Church

Big Timber Evangelical Church has always held as its core values a strong Biblical focus, prayer, a deep love for each other, and ongoing ministry in the community and world. Today, these core values can still be seen in the church family. What began with a handful of people stepping out in faith is now a church family of over 250 individuals gathering together for worship and spiritual growth each Sunday morning. Our prayer is that we will honor God in what we do and say and that we will faithfully serve Him by serving others through caring ministry and a powerful life witness.

The Community

Big Timber is located at the foot of the Beartooth and Crazy Mountain ranges. The Boulder and Yellowstone rivers flow through our community. Big Timber is a ranching, mining, small business, retirement, and tourist community. People from around the country and world have purchased recreational and ranch property and the area is well known for its beauty and outdoor activities.

The Candidate

We seek a youth pastor who is committed to modeling a personal walk with Christ. He will be a fully committed follower of Jesus who is growing in spiritual maturity. The pastor will work closely with the Lead Pastor as well as the boards of the church helping to execute our vision for ministry – preaching, teaching, working with volunteers, etc. Leading worship would be a huge asset but not required.

The Qualifications

We require a man who is striving to meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus. The preferred minimum education is a bachelor’s degree in ministry and or pastoral experience. The candidate must be able to lead and communicate effectively with children, students, parents and volunteers and staff.

The Compensation

Total Package – $35,000-$45,000, Depending on Experience with a housing option.
