Korean Central Church of Pittsburgh is an Elder led ethnic church located in the heart of Pittsburgh (near UPitt and CMU campuses). Central is looking for a seminary student (or recent grad) to provide spiritual leadership, guidance, and support to the church’s youth group and parents.

Responsibilities:

Accountable and discipled by the Lead EM Pastor, the Youth Pastor’s primary responsibilities include: Preaching at Youth Sunday service, planning and leading youth group meetings, retreats, and events, teaching Sunday school and Bible study classes, providing counseling and mentorship to young people, organizing community outreach programs and mission trips, and collaborating with other church leaders to develop and implement youth ministry programs, recruiting and training volunteers, and building relationships with parents and families to support the spiritual growth and well-being of the overall church.

Qualifications:

• Fluent in English.
• A humble, teachable spirit.
• Love for youth and their families.
• Current seminary student or graduate.
• Culturally and contextually savvy.

It would help to have:

• Linguistic skill/proficiency in Korean.
• Experience working/serving in an Asian American church setting.
