Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Position Summary
We are seeking a mission-driven and collaborative Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. The Mental Health Counselor will play a critical role as a member of our clinical team, collaborating with our Occupational Therapists, to provide care to the children and families we serve. Our location on a five acre farm in Rutland, MA, provides an environment for holistic healing. It incorporates multidisciplinary mental health and sensory room spaces as well as a therapeutic outdoor sensory space and garden.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in attachment and trauma informed care with a focus on relational interventions that support all of the client’s mental, behavioral, and emotional needs. They will be professional in their interactions with other staff, families, and outside professionals and will share in our commitment to making every child and caregiver feel welcomed, valued, and supported.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Master’s degree in mental health counseling, or similar.
● State-approved license to practice as a mental health counselor or in the process of acquiring licensure.
● Strong emphasis on attachment and trauma informed care.
● Exceptional clinical insight.
● Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Exceptional interpersonal skills and empathetic nature.
● Calming and engaging presence.
Key Responsibilities
● Including parents and caregivers in treatments and conducting regular caregiver consultations.
● Conducting preliminary interviews and documenting cases from the initial consultation to the end of treatment.
● Evaluating clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health.
● Developing appropriate intervention for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
● Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
● Monitoring progress throughout the treatment plan.
● Collaborating on intervention plans with team members and other mental health specialists, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, teachers, and school staff.
● Participating in clinical supervision, team meetings, case consultations, and training.
● Providing supervision, guidance, and professional development to interns and unlicensed clinicians depending on licensure and clinic needs.
● Assisting in leading our unique Family Connect therapy programs alongside our therapists, occupational therapists, and trained volunteers.

Center for Family Connection is a multidisciplinary health clinic dedicated to treating children with behavioral health concerns through a family care model. Our mission is for children to feel safe, loved and understood, for caregivers to grow in understanding and hope for children in their care, and for providers to have tools to support families with effective and compassionate interventions.

We are located on a five acre farm in Rutland, MA with newly renovated office, meeting, and sensory room spaces as well as a therapeutic outdoor sensory space and garden.
Job Type
● Full-time 40 hr/wk (or 2 part-time)
● In person position with flexible hours & days
● Desired start date: April 15th or earlier
