Faith Bible Chapel is a small but vibrant non-denominational church in rural western Maine, with a weekly attendance of about 90. Our mission is: “To Know Jesus Christ and to Make Him Known”
We prioritize the truth of Scripture, which leads us to value the plurality of leadership of our Elder and Deacon boards and the wise financial stewardship that enables us to support God’s work in Maine and around the world. There is a variety of music styles, a variety of dress, and a variety of Bible translations in our services.
FBC is seeking an approachable, prayerful, godly, and mentoring Pastor/Elder who:
• Desires to reach the lost and equip the saints
• Preaches the gospel of Christ faithfully from the Word of God
• Leans on God and His Word for direction
• Enjoys shepherding God’s people and serving along with them
• Looks forward to partnering with the other men who lead our fellowship with integrity, humility, wisdom, and accountability
Job Details
The pastor/elder at Faith Bible Chapel will:
• Preach, being the primary preaching elder of the church
• Lead, as part of a team of elders
• Teach, working with the elders to ensure sufficient Bible studies, etc.
• Minister, visiting members and counseling as needed and serving the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper
• Administer, communicating with the other leaders and maintaining organization
• Equip the saints, both in knowledge and living out that knowledge
• Pray for God’s guidance and follow biblical principles in all these areas
• Receive financial compensation (including housing) valued at approximately $80,000 annually.
