Senior Pastor

Cypress Chapel Congregational Christian Church is seeking a new spiritual leader to  pastor our congregation. A leader who has been called by God to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and oversee the needs of the congregation and church operations. The church requires a pastor who is led by the Holy Spirit and facilitates qualities as found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. The church requires a leader who will model Christlike attributes, model trust and integrity, and act according to Jesus’ commands, principles and statutes.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Preaching and Teaching.
• Leadership within the context of congregational style of church governance.
• Caring for the needs of God’s people by counseling, pray, and ministry wherever needed, including visiting the sick and shut-in.
• Administering the church ordinances of baptism an the Lord’s Supper.
• Leadership and coordination for support of missions and outreach.

Qualifications:

• A degree form a seminary is required.
• 5-10 years of pastoral experience preferred.
• Licensed and ordained is not necessary but preferred.
