The Big Picture

Keeseville Independent Baptist Church (http://www.ibck.org) located in the beautiful foothills of the Adirondack Mountains of New York State is currently seeking a Pastor. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years pastoral experience, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited Bible College/Seminary (master’s preferred), and an outgoing personality with the ability to easily connect with diverse groups of people.

The Church

Keeseville Independent Baptist Church was founded in 1958 and although “independent” in name and congregational-style of church government, we are not a “KJV-only” church. Our mission is the preach a living Christ to a dying world. IBC exists to glorify God through worship, fellowship, and service by evangelizing, making disciples, and equipping Christians to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We do this by UPreach- Worship of the Lord, INreach-Building up of believers, and OUTreach- Witness to the world. Our congregation is a stable, loving group who truly exerts the biblical concept of koinonia, a true love for one another.

The Community

The church is located about 15 miles south of Plattsburgh NY near Lake Champlain. Our area is a sportsman’s paradise where year-round outdoor activities abound. Water sports, hunting, fishing, hiking, and skiing are all popular pastimes. The site of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid is located nearby. The area is known as one of the most scenic areas of the United States.

The Compensation

This is a full-time position, a generous salary, benefits package, housing, and car allowance will be provided plus a $95,000 interest-free loan to put toward the purchase of a house.
