Rector

Church of the Redeemer, an Anglican church located in Greensboro, NC, is a parish of the Diocese of Christ our Hope in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Church of the Redeemer began in 2007 as a church plant that grew from a living-room gathering into one of the larger parishes in the ACNA. From its earliest days, Redeemer has sought to combine faithful Anglican worship, strong biblical teaching, evangelism, discipleship, community engagement, and leadership development, with worship centered on Word and Sacrament according to the Book of Common Prayer (2019).

In 2017, after years of planning and discernment, the congregation moved to the New Garden Park campus in pursuit of its distinctive Parish, Park, Farm, and Abbey vision: traditional parish ministry centered on Word and Sacrament; community engagement through the park and gathering spaces; agricultural ministry and food distribution through the farm; and marketplace- and mission-focused outreach through the Abbey. The parish is intentionally multi-generational and multi-ethnic, with services in English, Arabic, Kinyarwandan and Swahili, and with ministries serving local families, refugees, and international communities.

The parish recently navigated a difficult leadership transition, and the congregation has spent the past season under interim episcopal leadership working toward healing, trust, and renewed clarity of mission.

We are seeking a priest with a shepherd’s heart and a leader capable of managing a complex parish: a preacher rooted in Scripture and the historic faith; a confident and humble leader of clergy and staff; a bridge-builder across cultures and generations; and a faithful steward, in partnership with the vestry, of the resources and vision entrusted to this church.
