Pastor
Other Details
First planted in 2006 and then officially recognized as a particular church in the PCA’s Chesapeake Presbytery in 2011, the Lord has blessed Cornerstone with slow but steady growth to date, with many drawn to its esteem for the word of God in all its richness, and the organic and authentic nature of the church community as a whole.
The church body is currently a dynamic mix of old & young, with many families & children! Any given Sunday morning sees between 80-100 in attendance, with numerous small groups meeting throughout the week and opportunities to serve on Sunday & beyond.
Preaching and Teaching
A gifted but humble expository preacher who conveys the Word of God in a manner that challenges and grows our intergenerational congregation toward personal godliness and expanding His kingdom.
Spiritual Development of Members / Making Disciples
A lifelong student of the Word who challenges the people of Cornerstone, and also himself, to continually grow in their knowledge of Scripture and relationship with Christ. An active shepherd who has strong relational skills with an aptitude for discipleship and pastoral care while walking alongside the body through all phases and events of life. Ability to enable, encourage, and support members to use their gifts.
Corporate Worship
A passion for developing a rich worship experience through prayer, music, proclamation of the Word, and sacraments. Cornerstone has a depth of gifts and maturity among the body for music, teaching, and spiritual leadership to be engaged in the worship of the body.
Congregational Life and Fellowship
Strives to spur on the body to reach into the community and the world to meet the needs God has revealed. Ability to grow the rich body life and community within the congregation throughout the week.
