The Peru Church is charming Peru, Vermont (near Manchester) seeks its next spiritual leader. The church was founded in 1846 and is currently an important part of the fabric of the local community. Located near Bromley, Magic and Stratton Mountain ski areas, with miles of nordic track, hiking trails and many ponds and lakes nearby, it’s a healthy, outdoor population.

Members come from all over southern Vermont and are a diverse group of humans. The church is involved locally in a variety of ways: pastoral care for our elders; community events on the Town Green (potlucks and music events) and providing basic necessities for our neighbors in need.

In the spring of 2025 Pastor Melissa O’Brien will conclude her time as pastor of Peru Church. We are currently in the process of searching for our next wonderful pastor. The ideal candidate will be welcoming, patient, compassionate, dedicated, self-motivated, a great speaker, communicator and listener. Having a sense of humor is a plus.

The pastor will oversee all aspects of running our wonderful, historic church including leading Sunday services, delivering motivational and thought-provoking sermons, ministering to those in need and communicating well with the music director, trustees, deacons and the entire parish.  The pastor will work closely with the trustees and deacons to plan events for fundraising, fellowship and engaging the wider community.
