Job Title: Director of Church Planting, Residencies, and Development

Position Summary:
Converge Northeast is seeking a highly motivated and mission-driven individual to serve as the Director of Church Planting, Residencies, and Development. This leader will oversee church planting efforts, manage pastoral residencies, and lead fundraising and development initiatives. Additionally, the role includes administrative responsibilities to support the effectiveness of our ministry operations. This is a pivotal position for advancing the mission of Converge Northeast to start and strengthen churches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Church Planting Oversight:
- Develop and implement strategies for planting new churches across the region.
- Identify, recruit, and coach church planters, providing resources and support.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential church planting candidates.
- Foster relationships with partner churches to encourage involvement in church planting efforts.
- Attend Church Planting Assessment Centers as an Assessor in various locations throughout the US.
- Residency Program Management:
- Oversee pastoral residencies, ensuring participants receive meaningful training and mentorship.
- Collaborate with host churches to structure residencies that prepare leaders for ministry.
- Track residency progress and provide regular feedback to participants.
- Administrative Leadership:
- Manage operational tasks related to church planting and residencies, ensuring processes are efficient and effective.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on church planting projects and financial contributions.
- Collaborate with other team members to align administrative efforts with organizational goals.
- Work alongside the Regional President on creating and implementing a development strategy.
Qualifications:
- A strong personal commitment to Christ and alignment with Converge Northeast’s mission and values.
- Proven experience in church planting, ministry leadership, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability in fundraising, including donor development and grant writing.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relational skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a theological degree is preferred.
