Lifestyle and Christian Commitment – South Congregational Church considers a vital saving relationship with Christ as essential to the Worship Director position. The Worship Director should, therefore, possess a genuine love for Christ and a love for leading the church in the worship of God and be in full agreement with our beliefs and practices.

As a Worship Director, you will be responsible for selecting and arranging musical pieces for worship service and other worship events, conducting rehearsals, and leading the Worship Team. You will collaborate with the Worship Team to ensure cohesive and high-quality God-honoring worship. Other duties include managing the seasonal choir, providing music for funerals and weddings (schedule permitting), and special events.

To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience as a Worship Director or have served in a similar role. You should have a strong knowledge of music, the ability to mentor others, build teams and possess excellent communication skills. Compensation:

This is a part-time position; the time commitment is approximately 12-15 hours weekly. Salary ranges from $18,000-20,000, commensurate with experience, paid monthly.

This position is year-round, and the Worship Director shall be entitled to two weeks of paid vacation time at the Worship Director’s usual pay rate.
