Korean Presbyterian Church of Fresno (KPCF) is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to serve as the Education & Youth Ministry Pastor, overseeing the entire Education Department (Pre-K–12th grade) while directly leading the Youth Ministry (7th–12th grade).
This position requires a strong commitment to working with students and their families, fostering spiritual growth, and handling administrative responsibilities related to the church’s education programs. The ideal candidate will cultivate a welcoming environment where youth feel valued, develop friendships, and grow in their faith.

Responsibilities
Youth Ministry (7th–12th Grade):
- Lead Sunday youth group gatherings, including sermons and discussions.
- Oversee and support the youth group Bible study program and its volunteer teachers.
- Plan and facilitate youth events and activities, including monthly gatherings.
- Provide pastoral care and be present in the lives of youth by attending significant events when appropriate.
- Communicate regularly with parents, providing spiritual guidance and support for youth and their families.
Education Department (Pre-K–12th Grade):
- Oversee the entire Education Department, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission and vision.
- Support Sunday School teachers and volunteers, providing guidance and resources.
- Manage administrative tasks, including curriculum planning, scheduling, and volunteer coordination.
- Maintain a high-level perspective of the education ministry, offering recommendations for improvements in curriculum, programming, and resources.
- Work alongside the Korean Ministry Pastor and English Ministry Pastor to ensure a cohesive ministry approach.
Qualifications
- A deep love for God and a heart for youth and education ministry.
- Strong biblical knowledge and the ability to effectively teach and preach to middle and high school students.
- Experience in youth or education ministry (preferred but not required).
- Ability to relate to and engage with children, youth, and parents.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with pastors, parents, and church leadership.
- Ordination is not required, but candidates should be open to the theological values of PCUSA.
Compensation
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. We recognize that candidates at different stages of their ministry journey may have varying needs, and we are open to discussing compensation and role expectations accordingly.
