The internship is an immersive training program to serve, learn and grow before being sent out to continue the work of shepherding, teaching and equipping Jesus’ church. The intern is an in-person, full time employee in the role of Vicar. The internship provides with a wide range of ministry and mentorship opportunities for the purpose of continued pastoral formation, with a focus on healthy balance and clear pastoral leadership. The “work of ministry” includes leadership opportunities, preaching, rotations through ministry areas and planning and executing ministry to experience of the full gamut of congregational life.

Our hope and goal is to provide a well-rounded experience to prepare an intern pastor to take on their first solo call: to share wisdom and experience that will help them avoid problems and conflicts; to challenge them to be deep disciples of Christ able to lead and encourage others.
