We’re hiring an Associate Director of Worship Arts—someone who pairs musical skill with a heart for creating worship experiences that reflect the beauty and diversity of God’s kingdom. In this role, you’ll regularly lead worship at Blackhawk Brader Way, our largest site with multiple venues and styles, and occasionally at our other sites. Also, as part of our central Worship Arts team, you’ll shape ministry development, invest in volunteers, and contribute to churchwide or ministry-specific worship needs.
Responsibilities
Worship Arts Ministry
Worship Leading: Lead worship regularly at Blackhawk Brader Way (our largest site with multiple venues and worship styles) and occasionally at other sites as scheduled.
- Participate in programming meetings and plan worship services.
- Keep a multicultural lens and value for the worship set and worship team.
- Collaborate with applicable staff and volunteers to ensure a positive worship experience.
- Run rehearsals.
- Provide a pastoral presence through leading worship.
Ministry Development
- Participate in ministry development, leadership, and evaluation.
- Train, equip, develop, and care for ministry volunteers and leaders. Supervise adjunct staff or interns as assigned.
- Participate in the organization and implementation of Worship Arts-sponsored events and projects or events/projects requiring Worship Arts support.
- Contribute to the ideation, development, and management of creative projects.
- Maintain connections and networks with other churches and worship-related organizations. Stay current on best practices, resources, and trends.
- Provide leadership in other areas of the ministry based on need, gifting, and capacity.

- Demonstrated ability in coaching and developing leaders and teams.
- Values multicultural ministry, and leads through a multicultural lens.
- Consistent and reliable in detail management and follow-through.
- Exercise mature and independent judgment, confidentiality and tact.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Office 365.
- Prior knowledge and experience with clicks/tracks/DAW (Ableton, Prime, Multitracks
