Peoples Church Seeks a Spirit Led Pastor to Lead Our Congregation

 

About Us:

Founded in 1890 and located in a rural north central Massachusetts community, we are a congregation of believers who rely on the Bible as our primary source of guidance.
We are affiliated with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (4 C’s).
Our congregation is a family of approximately 80 Christians.
Our mission is to love God, love others, and make disciples of Jesus Christ, all to God’s glory,

Our Vision:

We are seeking a pastor who will:

  • Provide spiritual leadership and guidance to our congregation.
  • Nurture a loving and supportive church family.
  • Deliver engaging and biblically sound sermons.
  • Offer compassionate pastoral care to individuals and families.
  • Inspire us to deepen our faith and live out God’s love in our daily lives.
  • Work collaboratively with church leadership and members.

 

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading worship service.
  • Ministering to the needs of the church.
  • Providing pastoral care, including visitation, counseling, and spiritual guidance.
  • Overseeing the spiritual growth and discipleship of the congregation.
  • Working with the Elders and other committees to enrich the life of the church.
  • Officiating at wedding and funerals.
  • Engaging with the local community and representing the church in community events.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must abide by Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  • A deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ.
  • A passion for preaching, teaching, and pastoral care.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A heart for serving others and building a strong church community.
  • Preferably not less than an undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university or Bible college or equivalent experience.
  • Preferably at least five (5) years of pastoral experience.

Compensation:
