Part time (six hours per week)

Wednesday night program Children Connecting to Christ (CCC) is for children and youth in our community who are looking for a closer connection to Christ through Bible Study and fellowship.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a heart for sharing the Good News of God in Jesus Christ.
  • has been engaged in a reformed tradition faith community.
  • enjoys spending time with children and youth.
  • can communicate clearly with parents and volunteers.

*Seminary and teaching experience are preferred, but not required.

Primary Responsibility

  Directing, preparing for and leading Wednesday evening Youth Bible Study. Includes

  • Using your unique gifts to benefit the growth and maintenance of this ministry.
  • Developing relationships with youth, children and families.
  • Communicating in-person and through various digital platforms.
  • Working under our Pastor and CCC Leadership as an independent contractor.

Paw Creek uses PCUSA Feasting on the Word curriculum, but CCC Leadership is open to approving other reformed curriculum.

  • Youth – 6th through 12th grade Bible Study is led by the Youth Leader.
  • Children – K5 through 5th grade Bible Study is led by Church Volunteers.
  • The Youth Leader may lead some combined Bible Study or Group Activities.

Time Commitment and Compensation

  • School Year: September 2025 – May 2026.
  • CCC meets on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • Additional time will be required for preparation of lessons and the youth room, meetings with the CCC Leaders and parents, attendance at a church service to promote the Youth Ministry and two social events.
  • The Youth Ministries Leader will receive a stipend of $670/month, $6,030 over the course of the program.

The Youth Ministries Leader is an independent contractor and will receive an IRS Form 1099 for each calendar year.
